Pre-reading Activity: Night and the Holocaust

You are about to embark on a journey like no other.

Through this webquest you will be experiencing various aspects of the Holocaust. You may wonder why I am making you learn about history in our English class. The answer is simple:  you are about to enter a unit that integrates history and literature into one great learning experience.

If you aren't excited yet, you should be! We will be reading the memoir Night by Elie Wiesel.

In preparation for reading the memoir, you must gain knowledge about what it means to be a survivor of the Holocaust. You will be reflecting on what you already know, looking into things you would like to know, and developing final thoughts about what you have learned throughout the webquest process. 

A final powerpoint presentation will illustrate your gained knowledge.
