"Who was Martin Luther King Jr."
Introduction
Martin Luther King was born to Martin Luther King Sr. and Alberta Williams King on January 15th, 1929 in Atlanta Georgia. Martin descended from a long line of ministers. His mother was a highly respected school teacher. Martin was name Micheal at birth after his father , however his father changed both of their names to Martin Luther, after the German religious reformer. (Lambert 1993)
A incident that occurred while Martin was on the debate team in high school, inspired him to fight discrimination and prejudice. He and his teacher were sitting near the front of the bus, they were asked to moved the back forcefully by the driver.
