How do we navigate? How has navigation been accomplished throughout history? How can you locate a place, or tell someone else how to locate a place you have visited? The answers can be found in learning and using latitude and longitude!

After this lesson, you will be able to explain what lines of latitude and longitude are, and practice finding information from a video. Let's get started!

First, make sure you have a pencil, eraser and a copy of the Latitude and Longitude: Introduction worksheet (a downloadable copy is also available below).

You will be listening carefully to the video below, but BEFORE you start you should always read the questions you will be answering BEFORE you watch a video, so you know what answers you're looking for.

Once you've done this, watch and listen carefully to the video below. Answer the questions on the  worksheet. If you need to, watch the video again until your answers are complete.

Once you've finished, give your worksheet to your teacher and go on to Task #1.
