The Great Gatsby Era - A Roaring Good Time!

As we wrap up this Webquest and continue our journey through "The Great Gatsby", it is important to reflect on what we have learned about the Roaring 20's.  An understanding of this time in history will enhance your experience reading the novel.  Try and picture a time in history when prohibition was in effect, the first World War had left its effect on society, fashion was evolving, music was changing, and technology and medicine were on the rise.  What an exciting time to be alive!  As you read "The Great Gatsby" be sure to reflect back to the video clips and articles we came upon during the quest.  Ask yourself, "What would it have been like to live during the 20s?  How can my understanding of the Roaring 20's help me to understand the characters and setting in the novel?"
