Welcome: Getting to Know Our Maps
Description: After learning about what maps are and what they look like, students will begin to learn how to read a map with directions (North, East, South, West). Students will think about what they would tell a friend to help them get from point A to point B. We have practiced following directions, now they are going to practice giving them. Students will be working in pairs to create a map of a neighborhood, giving directions to help a friend get from point A to point B.
