This
WebQuest was created for a final project for EDUC-L544 at Bloomington
University. The purpose of this WebQuest is to help students learn new
vocabulary such as animal names and habitats. Students in kindergarten need
time to become familiar with new terms and formal terms for animals and their
habitats. This WebQuest can take up to 2 weeks depending on how familiar your students are with computers. I think this WebQuest is too hard for a kindergarten student to complete on their own because of the instructions. With the help of a volunteer to read the directions, a kindergarten student should be able to complete this WebQuest.

Standards

A.Common Core Literacy: W.K.2: Use a combination of drawing, dictating, and writing to compose informative/explanatory texts in which they name what they are writing about and supply some information about the topic.

B.Common Core Literacy: W.K.8: With guidance and support from adults, recall information from experiences or gather information from provided sources to answer a question.

C.Science: K.4.2: Observe plants and animals, describing how they are alike and how they are different in the way they look and in the things they do.
