Task 1 - Learn more about Jimmy Carter with a web scavenger hunt.

Task 2 - What was Jimmy Carter's life like and what is he famous for?

On a 8 1/2 x 11 piece of paper draw a representation of Jimmy Carter and his life.  Be sure to include at least 3 things that he is famous for or that you have learned about him.  Some ideas would be to draw a peanut or a flag of the United States of America.

Once all students have completed this task we will compile the drawings into a class book. 

Task 3 - Write a letter to Jimmy Carter.

Write a letter to former President Jimmy Carter and tell him a little about you. Also include in your letter something that you think he did that was wonderful and why.

Extension Assignment - Create a timeline of Jimmy Carter's life.  This can be done in a chart, list or on poster board. Be sure to include milestones in his career and personal life.
