EED 465 Charting the Course: Social Studies Webquest (Benchmark Assessment

Civics/Government

The teacher will begin the lesson by showing a short video on community helpers.
Each student will be asked to identify a community helper and explain what they think they do.
The class will then have a discussion on community helpers and their importance.
The teacher will then read a book on community helpers. Once the book is finished the teacher will ask open ended questions.
Next, the students will then be asked to draw and label their favorite community helper.
Finally, we will have some community helpers come in and visit.
