Description: Deals with the use of WebQuest in teaching English. The structure of WebQuest, its forms, Internet-based platforms for creating WebQuest are given. The practice of using WebQuest is illustrated with the topic "Travelling" which students study at the basic course of non-linguistic specialties. The author concludes that the use of WebQuest in the educational process allows to improve the information competence of the future professional, which in its turn will allow the specialist to be competitive in a rapidly changing information society
