Welcome: American History, specifically African American History our struggle
Description: This is a 5-day unit Social Studies webquest that students will learn and explore about African American History and the sacrifices that were made to improve equality amongst african americans,discuss the important ideas of the (e.g., Natural Rights, separation of powers) that fostered the creation of the United States government including the racism and segregation involving it,identify purposes of maps in African American history,determine how scarcity, opportunity costs, and trade-offs influence decision-making in the dealing with African Americans in slavery and ultimately in the Civil Rights Movement... As a part of the webquest students will choose an African American who has made a significant contribution to the quality of life and learn about them.
