Technologyhas increased tremendously since I was a child. There are so many activities I use daily at home, school, and in mydaily life now for instance; cell phone, computer, and even television. It isreally crazy that we could not even function now days without thesethings. I think that computers are themain source of finding any information you want to know about. I have been pretty lucky during my life to beable to stay up with technology as it advanced. We use to use DOS in school and now there is windows 10 and wirelesscomputers you can take anywhere. Ihave been very lucky in not having too many problems with any hardware orsoftware. I am pretty computer smartwhen it comes to figuring out computer problems. I have taken computer classes all of my lifeand also learned a lot about them when I was employed for the USPS for sixteenyears. Before deciding to leave the postoffice to return back to school I use to install hardware and software intocomputers that we updated. The onlyreason leaving my job was that it was too political for me and I have alwayswanted to be a special education teacher. PersonallyI get most of my information from books of course and the internet. If I were to encounter a problem that I couldnot figure out myself I would definitely go to the internet first and thenbooks, and finally face to face help. Mystudents will have many encounters with technology learning throughout theschool year. With how advancedtechnology is now there are more learning opportunities available for us toteach our students more effectively. Therereally is no telling what educational technology may integrate in my futureteaching. Every year we advance more andmore that we need to stay up with the advances to expand our future teaching. I am going to take classes or whatever I needto do to stay up with the technology to help me precede in future education Ineed. Technology is so advanced now thatI really do not know if anyone knows everything that it can do now. Technologyin my future teaching will consist of labs, group work, computer use, andvarious different learning tasks. Depending on what school or location I willbe working at is going to depend on what technology I am going to be able towork with my students, for instance; schools are limited to what they have thatis why there are computer labs because classes have to take turns. I hope I am able to get into a facility thatwill have various options are avalible. |
