In order to effectively use this webquest teachers should know the following: First, this webquest has been designed for implementation over the course of five days. It is self-guided for the most part, but the expectation is that the class will engage in daily dialogue and activities related to the webquest. In other words, for the five day unit to which this webquest applies class time during social studies period will be dedicated to webquest activities exclusively. Additionally, the webquest was designed according to Arizona of Department of Education standards for 6th grade social studies. The applicable standards are Strand 1 American History, PO 1-2 Construct timelines and charts Concept 2 Early Civilizations, Strand 2 World History, Concept 1 Research Skills for History, Strand 3 Civics/Governement, Concept 4 Rights, Responsibilities, and Roles of Citizenship, PO 2 and 3 citizen character traits and involvement in democratic process; Strand 4 Geography, Strand 5 Economics, |
