This WebQuest was designed for third grade students learning about The Solar System. I would suggest using this WebQuest as a project while studying the planets.
In my third grade class, I have 21 students during social sciences. I would split my students into groups or 2-3. I have 3 students who receive special education services, and I would make sure that they are with students who can help them with this assignment. I do not have computers in my classroom, so this assignment would be done during the class's "special time" when they are in the computer lab. They only have computers every 5 days, so this assignment would need a few classes to complete. The groups of students would probably need at least 2 classes to find their information and 2 classes or more to complete their PowerPoints.
I would have my students present their PowerPoints during social science time at the end of the day. Hopefully, I would be able to get my hands on a SmartBoard for the afternoon. Only about 2 or 3 groups would be able to present each class. Again, I would need a few days to complete the presentations.
