To better understand the character, Anne, you must know where and when the story takes place. The Diary of Anne Frank is set during World II and the Holocaust. Anne Frank experienced World War II's impact first hand, She could look out her window and see soldiers walking in the street. She was forced from her home by the Nazis because of her race. Anne needed to know about the events leading up to the war in order to understand what was happening to her and why the Holocaust too place. After a thorough investigation, you should be able to take a position about a topic and write an argumentative paper, drawing evidence from the literary and/or informational texts to support your analysis and/or your reflection. |
