To begin this lesson, the teacher should excite the class by reading the story, "What Has an 8,000-Pound Tongue and Sings?" By Robert Kanner. Provide other books with pictures of the blue whale. Provide the class with proper art materials, such as, poster board, magazines to cut out pictures, crayons, markers, and glue. The webquest is made for the students to surf and research on their own but you may have to assist in reading. Enjoy as your class grows to a larger and more knowledgeable assets to the community!
