Writing
S3 CO6 PO3: Write an informational report that includes main ideas and relevant details.

This social studies lesson could be integrated into a literature lesson as well. To expand this lesson have the students read literature about this time period. This will give them a different perspective of the time. A great book to find activities to include in lessons is Colonial Kids by Laurie Carlson.
