Gardening encourages children to make better food choices and appreciate nature. Kids enjoy and need to have the hands on experiences that creating their own gardens gives them. Creating their own garden is an ongoing project that can be incorporated throughout all core subjects. This is a project that will help children realize how important gardening is for them and their communities. In order to help students get started with their gardens, numerous corporations and foundations are supplying the funds for various grants because they recognize how important gardening programs are for our students.
