For this project you will be split into groups of four. Each member of your group will have an assigned job and certain responsibilities. In your groups, you will be working together to find interesting facts about your site and also answer some questions. To complete the project, you will become media specialists and create an advertisement to promote your site. In groups you may create advertising signs, act out a commercial, or even record a radio advertisement. It is your goal to have tourists want to visit your site. Good Luck! Group Roles:
1. Detective: As the detective you are responsible for using the clues provided to answer the questions located on your worksheet. You must work with the other people in your group to agree on the answers you will use.
2. Illustrator: As the illustrator it is your responsibility to provide visual images of your attraction. Remember you will later want to use some of these images to create your advertisement and draw visitors to your attraction. You may draw, cut out pictures, or print (only 3 images so choose carefully).
3. Navigator: As the navigator in your group you are responsible for ‘navigating’ through your attraction. It is also important for you to listen to the requests of your teammates and work together to help answer their questions and complete your tasks. The navigator is the only person who should be operating the computer during the task. Don’t worry everyone will get a chance to be the navigator!
4. Note taker: As the note taker you are responsible for recording important information about your attraction. You will work with your teammates to find interesting facts on your attraction. Remember the notes and facts you discover will be useful when creating your advertisement later on. |
