Students will perform the following tasks:
This webquest will enable you to peruse through American, British and World Literature websites documenting twelve books of most interest from each of the three areas. One of the twelve will be required reading to follow with a characterization paper (five paragraph Response to Literature essay) which will be due by the end of the third quarter. You will be required to view three videos (below) of women authors analyzing their responses as to what makes a good read for young adults and what were their inspirations to write. Finally, you will surf through a teen literary magazine website called Teen Ink, and explore a variety of non-fictional articles and books to find your interest of what prompts your thoughts and personal opinions.
