You are a fifth grade student in the year 1955 who is witnessing an extremely groundbreaking event in Civil Rights history! So to remember this very important time in our nation's past you keep a small journal where you will write three journal entires about what you experience internally and externally when Rosa Parks is arrested from the bus in Montgomery, Alabama for sitting in a white man's seat.

You will use the information that you receive from this WebQuest in order to help aid you in writing your three (3) journal entries. Each entry in your journal is to be two paragraphs long! Remember that an acceptable paragraph is three to five sentences. Please include at least two facts from this WebQuest within each entry.

Keep these basic questions in mind as you go through the WebQuest in order to help you think about what your journal entries will be based on:
-What happened on the bus?
-What did Rosa Parks do that was wrong?
-How do you feel about the way African American's used to be treated?
-Would you have had the courage to do what Mrs. Parks did?
-Why is this event and Rosa Parks so important in American history?
-How would you feel if you weren't allowed to sit in a certain seat because of the color of your skin?
