You will progress from individual assessment and knowledge-building activities, and a science and technology focus, to collaborative synthesis of arguments for your debate with support of a societal focus. Next, you will exploring multiple perspectives on the issue through a debate. Finally you will explain a combination of "Science, Technology and Society" aspects of the issue in your pamphlets. Throughout all of your activities you will develop your ICT skills.
In the debate you will have to take a position for or against genetic modification. You will need to use a variety of resources to support your arguments.
In the end you will need to create a pamphlet explaining both perspectives for people with genetic diseases to make an informed decision about whether they want to have a child in this way. This pamphlet will be a culmination of all that you have learned in this webquest, and will also require the use of multiple resources.
