The Colonists came to a new world to get a fresh start. They started from scratch to build a community. The colonists had to find a way to make homes, food and a way to keep order. In groups of 4, students will choose a colony to settle. The group will research the colony and discover how the colony was developed. During the research students will discover the problems they faced and how they solved them. As a group they will decide if they would have done somethings differently and how they would have done them. Did the Colonists find the freedom and rich land they were looking for? What was a day in life of a Colonists like? |
