As the students enter the room they will be directed to go to their seats. After they have settled down I will have names of community helpers wrote on the board. We as a class will discuss them. The next step in the lesson is to write their name on the board and ask what they want to be when they grow up, this will be recorded. We will then move to the carpet and read books on communtiy helpers and what they do. Day 2 They will then have a sheet of drawing paper so they can draw the picture of the community helper and write the one sentence. After completion of this they will share the pictures with the class. Day 3 They will watch a video on community helpers and then we will then read some more on community helpers. Day 4 They will write sentences on what their community helper will do and draw a picture. Day 5 Dress up do the parade and listen to the community helpers.
