In
order to work more effectively, we should first split up the class into four
groups that are each in charge of a different part of the proposal. When each group are done with their portion
of the proposal, all the groups’ work would come together to form the final
proposal piece.
Here is how the four groups would each
take on a separate part of the proposal:
Group 1: Investigators
This group’s goal is to research facts
about pandas, and what makes them so special.
Their focus questions include:
v What are pandas?
v What makes them so popular?
v What does it need to survive? (i.e.
environment and food)
If
you are in this group, you should use this worksheet to record your findings.
Group
2: Zoo Keepers
This group’s goal is to figure out
where and how the panda should be exhibited inside the zoo. Their focus questions include:
v How can we get a panda for our zoo?
v Where in the zoo can we keep it?
v How should we set up its habitat to look
like?
If
you are in this group, you should use this worksheet to record your findings
and ideas.
Group 3: Advertisers
This group’s goal is to make people
aware of the fact that something new is going on at the zoo. Their focus questions include:
v How can we spread the word about the
panda’s arrival to the zoo? (ex:
posters, word of mouth)
v How will our advertisements look like?
v What can be some of our catchy slogans
and/or logos?
If
you are in this group, you should use this worksheet to record your ideas.
Group

This group’s goal is to raise money to
support the zoo and the panda exhibit.
Their focus questions include:

involving pandas?

have?
