Intro to Art

Process:

1.  Go to the first 7 resources below to research and find your answer to the following questions.  Put your answers in a PowerPoint presentation, with each question being answered on a different page.   

What is art?

Should art be beautiful?

2.  Then you will look up several famous artists, from the last 3 resources below,  select one as a focus, and write a short biography about him/her in the same PowerPoint.  The biography must answer these questions:

Who is the artist? ( can include a picture/portrait of him/her)
What is his/her art style? Describe it.
When did (s)he live/work?
Where did (s)he live?

   The presentation should include several (3 or more) examples of his/her artwork with their titles.  Use the below resources to quickly identify your focus artist, and then use a Google search to find biographical infomation and more images.
