First all students must visit the VIRTUAL GALLERY to see what modern and traditional galleries are like.Then you choose a group ARTISTS ,BIOGRAPHERS or CURATORS.
Artists visit TATE ONLINE to see the Self-portrait in Badges by Peter Blake and the GAINSBOROUGH GALLERY for the Blue Boy inspiration. As you are real Artists, you need real MODELS so using the class BLUE BOX ( a box full of blue clothes, scarves,hats, material etc ) take turns to DRESS UP, POSE and PAINT.
Biographers visit the GAINSBOROUGH GALLERY and TATE ONLINE for information about the artists' lives. You have to present some facts in a nice clear way on an information board or posters. The title is "ABOUT THE ARTIST"
Curators visit the METROPOLITAN ART MUSEUM to see what a CURATOR'S job involves. Then you have to draw a plan of the exhibition and make a programme including times and dates of the exhibition.
All together you prepare the amazing BLUE GALLERY. ( Don't forget to invite your friends to see it!)
