Are your ready? It is now time to get moving, groving, and begin to feel the beat. Get your mom or dad, a teacher, or a friend and together you will pair up on this adventure of muscial fun and education. Your first assignment: Create a musical instrument Go to www.nancymusic.com under the link "activity pages" you will find directions for making 8 different instruments. You can make one instrument or you can make all the instruments listed, but most importantly, HAVE FUN! Your second assignment: Pretend you are in a marching band Begin by standing in place. Next march on spot 1,2,3,4. Repeat a few times and then stop. Pick up your instrument and shake or play 1,2,3,4 (similar to marching). Repeat a few times then stop. Now, march and play your instrument at the same time (hands and feet together). Begin to move around the room. Do this a few times and stop. Final assignment: Maintain a steady beat and rhythm throughout song Return to www.nancymusic.com. On the "activity pages" link there is a section of songs to use with rhythm instruments.
