Students will complete the following tasks. Please review the EVALUATION to ensure you meet all requirements of each task.
TASK 1 Explore in each of the url resources below of American, British and World Literature websites. You are to choose four books from each resource that is most interesting to you. On your sheet, as shown above, you are to write your book choices in the appropriate columns. Complete each book entry as you see in the example for "Moby Dick". Be sure to write "Yes" or "No" to add to your personal favorites with your reason for acceptance or denial.
TASK 2 Watch the three YouTube videos on the Task link, and on a separate sheet of paper, write your analysis of each author following the "analysis guide" attached (see below attachments).
TASK 3 Highlight one book on your entry sheet that you will commit to read. Your assignment will be to write a character analysis (Response to Literature) of the main character in MLA format due as part of your 3rd quarter grade. Please see me for the exact due date (see below attachment for RTL outline assistance).
10th, 11th & 12th Expectations: Currently, at the 9th grade level, students are required to demonstrate mastery of structuring a five paragraph essay to include a strong introduction, citing evidence from text which carries cohesiveness throughout the rest of the paper thematic to the literature given. 10th, 11th and 12th will progressively require mastery synthesizing gathered information from text, elaborating on analyzation of characters which is cohesive to the theme of literature given.
TASK 4 Surf through Teen Ink's (see below url) "nonfiction" tab and report on two articles using the Article Response form (see below attachment)
