Part 1- Before you start the cloning process and learning about the microscope, you first must be able to label and know the different parts of the microscope, so you can properly examine each specimen. Go to   http://www.microscopehelp.com/partsofthemicroscope.html  , and label the missing parts to the microscope. If you would like to attempt labeling without using the diagram, be my guest! Also there will be a basic microscope in the front of the classroom, so you can take turns looking in the microscope to examine a slide, and try to figure out what it is.

Part 2- After you have finished with the basics of the microscope it is now time to put your knowledge to work! You will now create your own clone! Click the following link http://learn.genetics.utah.edu/content/tech/cloning/clickandclone/, and follow the steps to complete your first ever clone!! PS: Be sure to follow the steps and be careful!

Part 3- Congratulations! You just completed your first clone, and hopefully there are many more to come!! Now it is time to add some new vocabulary to your knowledge! Here you will find the definitions of  words that are in your packet! Go to http://dictionary.reference.com/ and try to find the best definition for each word.

Part 4- To finish up all the excitement in becoming a scientist, you have been asked to come up with your own creative title for The House of The Scorpion, and also be the illustrator for the picture on the front cover! You may use https://www.google.com/imghp?hl=en&tab=wi to come up with a good picture and try to draw it yourself!

Congratulations you have now become a Scientist, and will be forever remembered for being the first to  ever complete a clone!!
