Step 1: Begin by first selecting a specific business career to investigate. Make your selection from the list provided in the picture above.
Step 2: Next, follow each of these career paths to investigate how the career you selected (in step 1) is used in this field:
Aerospace
Gaming
Marine Biology
Medicine
Sports
Step 3: Before viewing the sites make a table in Word. It should be three columns. In the first column, list these categories: salary, necessary experience, required education level, benefits, job description, & other. The second column will list the qualifications that you think the job will require. Complete this column before viewing the resource sites.
Step 4: Follow the directions for each path. Remember to complete the other column in your table with the actual job requirements (salary, necessary experience, required education level, benefits, job description, & other) after viewing each career path resource.
Aerospace- Visit resource 1 and 2. Note: The resource 2 site is for teachers only. If you chose teaching, you may look here. If you didn’t you may want to change your mind after seeing this. The watch the video in resource 3.
Gaming- Visit resource 4, 5 and 6.
Marine Biology- Visit resource 7 and 8.
Medicine- Visit resource 9, 10 and 11
Sports- Visit resource 12 and 13.
Step 5: Learn about completing job applications by visiting resource 14 and 15.
Step 6: Now it is time to complete the application for your dream job. Download the application in resource 16, save a copy to your files, name it " Your last name_application.doc ". Then print and turn in a copy to your teacher along with the printed table that you completed during the webquest. |
