To create your "Smart Art Cart" you will need: A cardboard box just large enough for you to sit in. The other things you will need, will be available in the classroom, including paper plates for the tires, cups for the headlights, Markers, paint, glue, and craft paper for decorating your car. we will work together as a class to build our "Smart Art Carts". Your cart will have your name on the driver's side door.

Next we will go to a pretend drive-in theatre and watch videos while sitting in our cars.  These videos have songs for you to sing to help you remember the colors & shapes you have learned.

These are the videos we will watch:

Next you will create art work with crayons, paint, and worksheets.

You will draw the shapes you have learned with crayons and tell what colors you have used.

You will trace your hand on a piece of white construction paper and then paint  it with the color of your choice.

Next you will color the Sea creatures on the worksheet using many different colors and tell what colors you have chosen.

This is the worksheet we will use:

We will spend time during the week singing our color & shapes songs too!

After each piece of artwork is created (and signed by YOU-- the artist), it will be placed in your "Smart Art Cart" for safe keeping.

At the end of the week we will have a 'car rally' with your "Smart Art Carts"  and you & your classmates will have a show & tell day to share your creations!

I look forward to seeing your masterpieces :O)
