Students will use the KWL approach within the lesson to be able to define Organizational Chart and also to list the features of an organizational chart. Teacher will allow students to draw this table in their notebooks at the very start of the lesson so that they can list (what they know about organizational chart, what they want to know about organizational chart and at the end what they have learnt about organizational chart.
Student will then read their introductory story of the lesson, then teacher allow a class discussion to bring out the main concepts such as organization, structure, heirarchy, leadership, position, links and departments.
Teacher then discusses the steps with the class that should be taken to create an organizational chart. Students will be given instruction cards with the steps. Teacher will also demonstrate how one is done by simply creating one.
Students will then be placed in groups. In their groups they will discuss the procedure placed on the instruction cards and begin working. Students will be given 15 minutes to conclude their group activities.
An the end of the lesson students will present their various organizational charts to class. Teacher uses a ruberic to evavalute each group's chart. Teacher will also allow student to critic each other work for healthy feedback.
Then teacher allow students to write at list some points in their KWL on what the have learnt.
