Go to Fifth Grade Thoughts link to
respond to Mrs. Heck's post about Cyber bullying. Please respond to Mrs. Heck's
post and to one classmate’s response. This is an independent activity.

Look at the Wordle Mrs. Heck created
on the Introduction slide. With your table group, brain storm a list of words
related to our classroom and the different technologies we will be using this
school year. Some examples are: computers, blogging, Google Docs, Group work,
etc. Go to the Wordle link below to create your Wordle with your group and
print off to turn in to the basket. You will also need to write down or copy of
your link to your Wordle if you wish to use it in Task 5. (Group)
3.
Explore the websites listed as well
as Google.com to find information about proper use of technology. You will need
to take notes on information and facts you wish to use and copy pictures and
links to the pictures on Mrs. Heck's note taking device for further use in Task
5. (this document is for citing purposes). You will need to explore and find information
from the sources listed Task 3 document, and find at least one other source of
information on your own from searching in Google. Use some key words you are
coming up with to do your search with. Save any pictures you would like to use
in your student work folder. Remember when you come across a picture you must
also list the source of the picture. To save your information save it in
starstudent/heck/_________ (your name). (Independent)

As a group, make a classroom set of
10 Commandments of acceptable use for our classroom. For an example, look at
the 10 Commandment Example document. (Group)
5.
Create a PowerPoint Presentation
with your group. First, update and save your group's assignment of members to
the slides. Notice you will need 1 title slide, at least 4 informational
slides, and 1 resource slide. You may create more slides if you need to. Then
begin creating your PowerPoint Presentation with your group members containing
all the information you have collected task 3. You may do further research if
needed. Save your group power point under the students folder designated in
Assignment of Slides. As a group, choose a topic you feel may relate to our
classroom and projects you all may be working on this year. Examples of topics
are Blogging, Group Work, PowerPoint, Word Documents, Google Docs, Research,
Smartboards, Digital Cameras, Laptops, clickers and etc. (Group)
