Ancient Roman Gladiators
Task #5 - Spartacus
Find information about Spartacus. Be sure to organize your research into sections that follow a logical sequence, ie. his early life, life as a gladiator, the rebellion, and the effects of the rebellion on Roman society. Provide clear topic sentences and supporting details.
Download the Spartacus Research Chart below. You can either print out the chart to write on it OR download it to your desktop and type your information directly onto the chart. Ether way, use this chart as a guide to help record information you find. Be aware that there WON'T be tons of information for some of the subtopics!
You may want to talk to someone who is completing Task #4: Slavery in order to learn more about slaves in Ancient Rome. This will give you some insight into Spartacus' life as well.
Use the following links:
Spartacus: Gladiator & Slave - from Mr. Donn's Page
Spartacus: Historical Background
Spartacus - from Mr. Dowling.com
Spartacus - from Kids.net
Spartacus - from BBC History
Once you've completed your research, continue on to the Presentation task.
