Introduction Introduction

There are many sites in Salem, Massachusetts, which claim to be relevant to the Salem Witch Trials. Most of these are businesses hoping to drum up prospective customers who will visit Salem and make a profit off the tourists and their ignorance of what really happened during the witch hysteria. Having completed reading and viewing Arthur Miller's, The Crucible, and seeing the Powerpoint presentation, "The Life and Times of Giles Corey: Martyr or Murderer?", you are better informed of the true old time Salem Village life and problems of 1692. But as wonderful as reading and viewing are, there's nothing like seeing a place in person that you've pictured in your mind.

You are going to plan the itinerary for a school field trip to Salem based on many museums, stores, and businesses that consider themselves worthy of your school's time and money.
