In the south, during the 60's, racial injustices were a common thing. Sergregation, Jim Crow laws, and other injustices were practiced and enforced. Many people decided the time had come for a change. Boycotts, marches, court cases, and other events were to take place in efforts to change these laws and practices. What would you do if placed in the position of a minority, during these times in the south? Would you posses the courage to implement a change within your society or community? If so, how would you do this? Would it be peaceful? Do yoiu think you would have many followers? What would you hope to be the outcome? Many of the leaders from this particular era had to be courageous and strong-willed, not to count patient, thinkers, and many deeply rooted in faith. Not knowing the intended outcome, they organised and implemented may strategies which ended and changed the lives of all minorities and women in the United States.
