In this WebQuest you are going to take a step back in time to the year 1955 (57 years ago!). Imagine, you are a fifth grade student who takes the city bus home from school everyday, except this bus ride is a little different. It just so happens that you are on the exact same bus as Mrs. Rosa Parks on that landmark day in history, December 1st, 1955. This is the day that Parks is arrested for not giving up her seat to a white man. Some of the questions you will be able to answer at the end of this WebQuest are:

What did you witness? How did this make you feel? And what repercussions occurred after this event that changed history as we know it?

Be sure to take notes about important information you learn during this WebQuest. You will eventually be writing journal entries about your experiences on the bus, and information about Rosa Parks.
