A. Historical background

·       The French revolution started with years of meaningless oppression and financial mismanagement.  These actions contributed to a French society that was just waiting to revolt.  A downward economic spiral occurred in the late 1700.  King Louis XVI financial advisors come review the weakened French treasury.  The advisors told the king to fix the situation.  The king ignored their advice and kicks the advisors out.

B. Thesis Statement

·       Due to King Louis XVI irresponsible financial actions that led to the revolt of the people, it resulted in many deaths and unnecessary suffering.
