For this web quest you are going to be preforming the tasks of a paleontologist on a dig for fossils in the Badlands of South Dakota.  For this task you will be finding and researching about different ancient organisms.  Your end task will to be able to explain how the fossils you found at your dig site fit in the geologic time scale.  In other words, which fossils are the youngest and which are the oldest and why.  

First we need to learn a little bit about this awesome Tyrannosaurus Rex that one of your colleagues Sue Hendrickson discovered in the same part of South Dakota that you will be traveling to on your dig.  

This is Sue the largest, most complete, best preserved Tyrannosaurus Rex. No dinosaur in the world compares to SUE. She is the largest, most complete, and best preserved Tyrannosaurus Rex ever discovered. Her skeleton currently resides at the Field museum in Chicago.
