Results of the Cold War: Political, Social and Economic
At the end of World War II, Germany and Japan surrendered, Europe was devastated and two allies, The United States and the Soviet Union were becoming "superpowers." Regardless of alliances before the war, these two countries were at opposite ends of the spectrum politically and economically and a "Cold War" began between the two that would last for more than 40 years. As we investigate the Cold War, we are going to find situations and conflicts that will result in permanent changes in the lives of American citizens, affecting them politically, socially and economically.

Superheroes In Society
Your formal education isn’t about pure information, it’s about the application of that
knowledge as you move into the job market. This webquest will look at some people you may, or may not have thought that could broaden your perspective on possible careers. We're going to look at what some really good people are doing with their lives. I hope you enjoy learning about these people, as I did. They are there to inspire, so the best thing is to let them do their job, and be inspired! With knowledge comes power, and with your new super powers of perception, and perspective, you’ll guide a good friend in the direction of a life of heroism, or if they’re the super side kick type, at least job satisfaction.
Keywords:Orpheus, Cincinnatus, Angelina Jolie, Hillary Clinton

Disability Awareness: Investigating & Researching a Disability
This WebQuest was created to specifically help students living with a disability, gain a better understanding of who they are. It was designed for middle school aged students in hopes that they would, upon completion, understand themselves better as a student and learner as well as gain an improved sense of self worth. **Special Note: As a Special Education Teacher, I created this website with my own students in mind, the majority of which have been diagnosed with either a Learning Disability or Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder/Attention Deficit Disorder. Therefore, there are no resources posted within this WebQuest on other disabilities such as Autism, Mental Retardation, and others. It is my goal to add to this WebQuest each year as the needs of my students change.
