Student was able to complete Task 2: Video Analysis Student was able to write a few ideas of the author. Sentences and vocabulary were simplistic with numerous spelling errors. Student was able to write to the prompt with ideas that inspired the authors' writing. Simplistic sentence structure with some spelling errors Student was able to write to the prompt with strong ideas of authors' inspirations. Very few spelling errors and some complex sentences. Student was able to complete Task 3: 5 paragraph Response to Literature Essay Student did not show understanding of the prompt nor structure of the essay. Simplistic sentences and numerous spelling errors. Student demonstrated an understanding of the structure of the essay. However, showed confusion as to the prompt of characterizationwith the use of simplistic sentences and some spelling errors. Student demonstrated both understanding of the structure of the essay and ability to respond to the prompt with simple sentence and few spelling errors. Student demonstrated a strong understanding of the structure and response to the prompt. Very few to no spelling errors and was able to elaborate analyzing character traits of the main characters. 80
