This lesson is meant to help you investigate and understand the types of lines used in art.  Your KWL 

Chart will serve as an assessment of what you learned about lines.  Your artwork will not receive a 

grade, but will be displayed throughout the classroom as an art exhibit for your family and friends to 

enjoy.
Evaluation Rubric

  Beginning (1) Developing (2) Very Good (3) Excellent (4) Score

Students complete each section of the KWL Chart. KWL Chart contains at least 1 answer in each section. KWL Chart contains at least 1 answer in the "What do I know about lines?" section and in the "What do I want to know about lines?" section. KWL Chart contains at least 2 answers in the "What I learned about lines?" section. KWL Chart contains at least 1 answer in the "What do I know about lines?" section and in the "What do I want to know about lines?" section. KWL Chart contains at least 3 answers in the "What I learned about lines?" section. KWL Chart contains at least 1 answer in the "What do I know about lines?" section and in the "What do I want to know about lines?" section. KWL Chart contains at least 4 answers in the "What I learned about lines?" section. Up to 4
