Osteogenesis Imperfecta (OI) like many other disabilities has varying ranges of severity. It is a disability that is known a brittle bone disease. The problems these individuals face can be unique to the individual or the group. Since OI leaves each individual's physical deformity unique to the individual, it is difficult to attribute an identifying image and limitation to the disability. Some limitations faced in school include an inability to remove self from wheelchair to toilet, limited access to computer, inability to play at recess, inability to physically write (unable to access full range of desk), and an inability to access areas around a school campus i.e. library, lunchroom, computer lab. We found that the availability of the latest developing technology has made it possible for OI individuals to experience the world at their fingertips.
