I truly appreciate all of the hard work you did to complete this task. My hope is that this assignment opened your eyes to the artists that are working today. It is important to study the masters from the past but it is also important to be aware of artists that exist in our time, what they are doing, and how the art community shows individual expressions of diverse people. I also hope that this exercise showed that you can be critical thinkers that trust yourselves to apply your knowledge to situations that come to you in the real world. We all are exposed to art, how we react to it, try to understand it, and interact with it helps us to see better who we are. Art helps us to realize how we are diverse individuals while also having things in common with those so different from ourselves. I truly hope you enjoyed exploring art and that this helps you to look at artwork with a renewed perspective.
